Discover Finesse, the Italian Producer Who Collaborated with Bad Bunny and Nicki Minaj
He worked with top artists in the United States and now he is more than ready for his official debut – his first single “Gelosa” having amassed over 1 million streams in just three days

A nomination at the Latin Grammy Awards 2022. Several collaborations with top artists such as Nicki Minaj, Bad Bunny, and Polo G. More than one million streams in three days for his first single as lead artist, Gelosa. The résumé of Finesse looks like an experienced producer’s one, but this Italian guy of Indian origins is only 24 years old.
Born in 1999, Amritvir started his music career in 2020, as he decided to chase the American dream and fly to the States to improve his skills as a producer, which he learned by watching Sick Luke’s videos on YouTube. In his case, the dream comes true. As the world stopped because of the pandemic, his life started spinning faster and faster. He met French producer and executive CashMoneyAp, who introduced him to important producers. Then he met Bad Bunny – that collaboration would give him a nomination at the Latin Grammys.
He decided to come back to Italy, where he produced many hit singles, from sangiovanni’s Malibu to Shiva’s Pensando a Lei. Last but not least, his own single Gelosa, for which he gathered a dream team made up by Guè, Sfera Ebbasta, and – again – Shiva.
Billboard Italia reached out to Finesse to discuss his Italian debut and the differences between Italian and American artists.

How did you start producing?
My first approach with music was as a hobby. After two years of learning with tutorials on YouTube, my friends told me: “Look, your music kicks ass”. So I started sending my tracks around. Then it became a real job.
Finesse, you’re young but you already have an important experience behind your back: the production of Bad Bunny’s Yonaguni.
It all happened randomly. I was playing Call Of Duty with an American producer. I made him listen to the beat and he told me: “Bad Bunny would really fit well, let’s work on it and see how it goes”. That was a year before it actually reached him. Then we knew that they were considering four options for the lead single and eventually they chose Yonaguni.
For your own debut, you chose a dream team: Guè, Sfera Ebbasta, and Shiva. How did you work on Gelosa?
Well, this shouldn’t have been the lead single, so when the first option was dropped I told myself: “Now I want to do something even bigger”. I got the idea of sending Akon’s sampled voice to Shiva. I told him: “If you do the same thing, it would be so cool”. At first he was doubtful because he had never made a pop song, but when we went to the studio with Drillionaire and Zazu we managed to convince him. For Guè’s featuring, I have to thank Cancun. He was in the studio with us and told me that he would like to introduce him to me. We went out for dinner and Guè immediately got enthusiast about the track, especially the chorus. It all started in a very friendly way.
Finesse, is there any difference between Italian and American artists when it comes to producing their music?
In America there’s the tendency to work with several producers, maybe to experiment more, while in Italy each rapper has their own go-to producer, usually. But now things are changing, and it’s cool because an artist can receive many different influences.
Is the single an anticipation of a wider project?
Yes, other singles will come out because I want to have a solid base, but an album is on the way.
