Marco Mengoni Announces French Version of “Due Vite”

The Italian singer will release a translated version of the Sanremo-winning song. It will be titled “La Dernière Chanson”

A few days before the start of his European tour, Marco Mengoni announced the release of “La Dernière Chanson,” the French version of the song “Due Vite,” on October 13.

“Due Vite,” with which Marco Mengoni won the last edition of the Sanremo Festival, achieved great success throughout Europe thanks to the fourth position reached in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, where it also received the award for the Best Musical Composition.

Marco Mengoni’s choice to release a French version of the 4x platinum record “Due Vite” (“Two Lives”) stems from the growing attention the singer is receiving in France. “La Dernière Chanson” was rewritten by the artist together with Doriand, Edoardo D’Erme (Calcutta) and M. Venturini. Davide Simonetta produced it. The new edition of the song will not be entirely in French, as it will retain some lines in Italian.

Marco Mengoni will perform a concert in France on October 25 at a historic venue in Paris: Le Zénith. Many prestigious international artists have sung here, including Bob Dylan, Olivia Rodrigo and Radiohead.

Marco Mengoni’s European tour will start on October 18 with the first of eight dates. The first show will be at the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona, Spain. The concert series will continue until November 2, the day of the last show at the Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany.

Marco Mengoni is getting more and more attention abroad. Two dates of the tour are sold out already: The concerts at the Forest National in Brussels, Belgium, and at the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt, Germany. The tour will also touch Amsterdam, Vienna and Zurich.
