“Donda 2”: le reazioni dei fan di Kanye West inorriditi dalla qualità audio della listening session
L’uscita del nuovo album di Ye era prevista per il 22 febbraio, ma non è arrivato a mezzanotte come i fan speravano

Donda 2, dove sei? I fan che hanno tanto atteso il seguito dell’ultimo album di Kanye West – annunciato per martedì 22 febbraio – sono delusi dal fatto che non è arrivato alla mezzanotte, come succede per la maggior parte delle release.
“DONDE está #DONDA2”, si è chiesto un fan su Twitter.
Un altro ha scritto: “Sono le 22:22 in Sud Africa e Ye non ha ancora lanciato #DONDA2. Quanti altri 2 bisogna allineare per vederlo uscire?”.
Prima dell’uscita dell’album, Ye – che aveva già sforato le precedenti date di uscita degli album – aveva detto che il nuovo progetto non sarebbe stato disponibile sui tradizionali servizi di streaming. «Donda 2 sarà disponibile solo sulla mia piattaforma, lo Stem Player. Non su Apple, Amazon, Spotify o YouTube», aveva annunciato su Instagram il 17 febbraio. «Oggi agli artisti arriva solo il 12% dei soldi che l’industria musicale fa. È l’ora di liberare la musica da questo sistema oppressivo. È l’ora di prendere il controllo e costruire il nostro sistema. Vai su www.stemplayer.com».
In seguito all’annuncio, Ye ha rivelato che lo Stem Player ha visto oltre 1.3 milioni di dollari di nuove revenue. «Più veloce di quanto abbia mai venduto t-shirt. Dio ha un piano. Una nuova frontiera», ha scritto in un post poi cancellato. «Coloro che supportano la nostra rivoluzione stanno cambiando le regole del gioco per tutti gli artisti. Non dobbiamo più inginocchiarci a persone a cui non importa niente della musica. Mi sembra di tornare ai tempi di Jesus Walks».
Poche ore prima di un evento di ascolto dell’album a Miami il 22 febbraio, trasmesso in streaming nei cinema di altre 15 città, Stem ha annunciato che la Donda 2 Experience sarebbe stata trasmessa anche sul player. Ye non ha ancora rivelato l’ora di uscita dell’album.
