I BET Awards 2023 sono serviti. Sei premiazioni sono state trasmesse televisivamente domenica sera (25 giugno). Latto e Coco Jones hanno ritirato in persona gli award – rispettivamente – come Best Female Hip-hop Artist e Best New Artist.

La madre di Teyana Taylor, Nikki, ha ritirato il premio della figlia e l’ha anche chiamata via FaceTime durante la trasmissione per informarla che aveva vinto come Video Director of the Year.

Negli altri quindici premi dei BET Awards 2023 non trasmessi in televisione ci sono stati due pari meriti notevoli: Reinassance di Beyoncé e SOS di SZA come Album of the Year; Chris Brown e Usher come Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
